Hakathari Ratings of Registered Models of Air Conditioners
Distribution of 3β , 4β , and 5β registered air conditioner models by brand, with importer & rating filters.
π‘ Tip: Filter by importer, and the star ratings. Totals and charts update instantly. Use the Year selector to view a specific year or all years at once.
Most Efficient Air Conditioner Models
Circles (β) highlight the most efficient model for each year within each Market Capacity. Diamonds (β¦) represent all other registered models. Market Capacity (BTU/h) shows standardized sizes (9k, 12k, 18k, 24k) for easier comparison. Tested capacity may vary slightly from how manufacturers market the unit.
π‘ Tip: Filter by year and Hakathari rating. CSPF (W/W) indicates cooling efficiency β higher is better. In βAll Yearsβ view, you may see multiple circles in the same capacity band β one for each yearβs most efficient model.
Hakathari Leaders by Market Capacity
The importers leading the Hakathari Program with the most efficient brands and models in each market capacity.
Average CSPF by Year
This chart shows the Average Cooling Seasonal Performance Factor (CSPF) of registered air conditioner models by year, according to the Hakathari rating criteria.
CSPF is a measure of how efficiently an air conditioner provides cooling throughout the year β it represents the total cooling output divided by the total energy consumed.
In simple terms, a higher CSPF value means the air conditioner uses less electricity to provide the same amount of cooling, making it more energy efficient.
Dotted reference lines indicate the minimum CSPF values required for Hakathari labelling β
3.10 W/W for units below 15,354 BTU/hr and
2.90 W/W for units between 15,354 and 24,226 BTU/hr.
